the Company's progressive HR interventions.
The Company scores a high premium in terms of

CML believes in achieving organizational excellence
through continuous development of its human resources. Therefore,
a comprehensive human resource strategy spanning activities preceding
the pre-employment of personnel to the activities following their
separation is in place. This strategy is reflected through the creation
of a comprehensive Human Resources Policies.
A GET/DET Recruitment Scheme is being introduced
for inducting talented fresh graduates and grooming them into a
dedicated cadre of power professionals. The scheme comprises recruitment
in the disciplines of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics &
Communications, Civil, etc.
A systematic Training Plan is in place, comprising
level-wise planned interventions designed to groom people for assuming
positions of higher responsibility, and specific need-based interventions
designed after scientific Training Needs Analysis.
It has been making concerted efforts to build
structures and processes that enable dissemination of knowledge
and putting that knowledge to practical use. One such initiative
is the "Executive Development Club" where employees are
encouraged to voluntarily come forward and make presentation on
subjects pertaining to their departmental functions, business operations
or any topics within their knowledge domain. The initiative is an
excellent source of capturing the knowledge of the employees and
has generated good response.
Another developmental initiative is the Career
Building exercise wherein efforts are made to evolve and develop
a proactive and enabling work culture by synchronizing the aspirations
of individuals with the Organizational Goals.
As part of enhancing knowledge at senior levels, senior executives
of the company are put through management development programs in
reputed institutions FICCI, CII, Management Development Institute,
etc.
CML has been laying emphasis on culture-enabling
processes. For instance, with the objective of leveraging the emotional
intelligence of the employees and for creating a positive and progressive
organizational culture, attitudinal training was initiated. As a
